Sweet Home Arizona
A Quick update: we decided to move to Arizona for the summer to make a little money for the next year or two. So, we are here now. We arrived early this morning, at about 1am. Kyle's dad is re-running this year for corporation commission, so Kyle and I will be helping a lot with that this summer.
I absolutely love Arizona and I am so glad to be back! (Even though it's going to be a tough summer, especially for Kyle...) But, it will be nice to see both sides of the family.
I hope to post some pictures soon...until then, "good afternoon, good evening and good night!"

A little news
Thursday, January 14, 2010
Kyle and I were able to go down to Vegas where my sister lives for Christmas. It was so fun! My parents were there too, along with Jeremy and Zach....and don't forget Toby! :) We went to the park, played some frisby and the guys played basketball. The kids were able to have some fun playing on the playground and Kenton especially loved walking off on his own, finding adventure in the wild wild desert. For Christmas, we played games and just enjoyed the company of each other. We also had a wonderful dinner that Aubrey had planned and made for us (with help from the family). It was yummy! :) We weren't able to stay long, sadly, because I had to work Saturday night.
For the New Years, I had to work the Eve night..but luckily we close at 10:45, so I was able to get off after 11. Forrest and Melissa were able to come over and celebrate with us! It was fun :) We had chocolate, Cheez-IT's and Jones for drinks.
Last week, I had the night off and we were planning on going somewhere..but we ended up playing "Hide-and-go-Seek" in our teeny apartment before going out. We figured since the movie didn't start till later that we didn't need to leave yet. So somehow we randomly decided to do this. It was seriously so much fun! We played for almost 2 hours. We got pretty creative though. We hid in places like on top of the fridge(K), under the bathroom sink(B), in the shower(K&B), on the kitchen counter(B), under the desk(K-like the picture shown below..isn't he so cute and helpless!?)..there were so many more! haha, but we would move things around to try and get ourselves into a certain place. Our apartment, with all the lights off, didn't go completely dark with a little light coming through the shades...but there were some parts of the place that were especially dark. Anyway, I just thought I'd share with you something fun that we did!Oh, a little update on Kyle's schooling...he figured out what he is going to do with school. He will be majoring in public relations and minoring in political science. We hope to be done in about a year...but might be a year and a half...
Love you all!

An Update
I love Halloween! But when you are living in an apartment complex you don't get any trick or treaters. Also, Kyle and I are at that awkward stage where we are too old to go trick or treating, there aren't many options for married couple parties and we don't have any kids to take out trick or treating...haha...but we did go hang out with our friends, Forrest and Melissa. But before Halloween Kyle and I and Melissa and Forrest went to a pumpkin patch. It was real fun! Forrest and Melis took pictures...but they haven't posted any of them yet...just waiting ;) and then we carved them after that. haha, our pumpkins are still outside and they are looking pretty sad...
November:
Not much to say, but it is the beginning of the Christmas season! :) It's a happy month.
December:
IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! I was working last night and Kyle surprised me with some Christmas decorations when we got home. He is so wonderful :) He bought lights and hung them in the window and got a 6 1/2 foot tree with lights on it and hung candy canes on it. It looks so beautiful and it makes me feel so happy! He's really good with surprises and he knows how to make me happy. :)
Things are going real well for us, we're both pretty happy and still so much in love! hehe...School is going well for Kyle also.
Anyway...that's about it. Hopefully some day we'll be able to post new pictures. I'm trying to figure out how to post a bunch of pictures on the blog without taking up a lot of space.

3 Things
2. The hiring department from Questar Gas called me today to set up an appointment for an interview. I have it tomorrow morning over the phone, pray that it goes well!
3. So there's a movie out in dollar theatres right now called District 9 and we're suppose to card everyone that is looks younger than 25 (I don't know, it's weird...it's my manager's rule). Tonight when I was working I carded this girl that (from first glance) looked young enough for that age range...well she said she didn't have it. She said she was 30 and that's when I realized that she was a little older. Then right away she said, "well I have my Temple Recommend that proves I'm old enough". And hearing this, I was shocked and kind of upset that she would actually use her Temple Recommend to get her into a rated R movie. I don't know what I should've done, but I know I should've said something at least. I mean come on! That is ridiculous to use something so sacred and important to get yourself into a movie that the church and definitely not the Lord is for and okay with. It just makes me mad. This isn't even the first time this has happened...
And then at work we have this student discount for all those that have there college student ID's for a price cut for a ticket. So all these BYU students use there card to get the discount to get into the rated R movie. Now, I don't care so much about the fact that they are seeing the rated R movie, that's their choice. But it's the fact that they use their BYU card for the discount when BYU has a standard, and watching rated R movies is not one of them (but the standard is to not watch them). I hope that some day the theatre will get the "okay" to not accept BYU cards for the discount when getting tickets to rated R movies. UGH! And this happens almost constantly. Most of the people that go into these rated R movies are BYU students trying to get the discount.
People are ridiculous...

Nature
So today I got a call from ron Jipson, who is the president of Questar Gas and he said that he'll talk to the hiring people and make sure they got my application. Then they will call me to set up an appointment for an interview!! Yay! I hope this works out...it would be so nice. Although I wouldn't be getting home till about 8pm everyday, the pay is worth it. Plus I get the weekends and I believe holidays off! So that's a plus. :) yay! I actually get to spend time with Kyle! Oh, and prayers would be nice :) We really need me to get this job, it is very important.
Today started out pretty good...Melissa and I went on our walk and stuff...then when I got home I got this really bad pain in my chest and the area above my stomach. It was like shooting/stabbing pains. It wasn't too bad at first, but then it gradually got worse and I could barely stand it. I had work at 4, but was praying and hoping that it would go away because I was having such a hard time walking around, let alone moving. The ibuprofen worked for a little bit and the pain wasn't so bad soon after I got to work. Then a little before 6 the pain all of a sudden got worse. Ugh, it really was no fun. But yeah, I don't know what it was...but I know I never want to have that again. Oh, and I am feeling better, yay!
Well, love you all.

Trying to be healthy
Tonight Kyle had an ultimate game, and it was pretty awesome. He won 12-4...and Kyle played so amazing! He's pretty good :)
Anyway, so yesterday I did send in my application to Questar Gas and I was suppose to hear from a guy about it...but I still haven't. So today I decided to call him to check on everything and make sure he got it. He didn't answer, so I just left a message....man I need a job. It would be a miracle and pretty much amazing if I got this job...I would feel so much better about our financial situation because I'm getting pretty nervous about the money thing. Alwell, that seems to be the case for a lot of newlyweds and/or college students. It's stressful though....
much love!
Brit
P.S. Kyle has a bunch of tests in the next weekish...prayers would be nice! Please and thank you :)
